First rays of a new day

Painted this one tonight--sketched everything first in my journal, scanned it, then painted in Art Rage. I painted this as gift for some good friends. Still a few details to finish up, but almost there. I've been painting with more color lately, also trying to shift things to work with less focus on the figure, more on setting and mood. We'll see where that leads.
